All about the Grantham Handyman

Hi, I’m Michael – the original Grantham Handyman.

I’ve been proudly serving the people of Grantham since 2013, offering a wide range of property maintenance services – both inside and out. Over the years, I’ve built a strong local reputation for delivering high-quality work with attention to detail and reliability.

You might spot me around Grantham in my well-signed van, so you’ll always know who’s arriving to carry out work at your home. I’m often stopped for a chat or asked to pop round and offer advice on upcoming projects – something I’m always happy to do.

I believe in providing clear, honest support to every customer, along with a free, no-obligation quote. All quotes are written in advance and aim to be inclusive of all costs, ensuring your needs are fully understood and there are no hidden extras.

For your peace of mind, I carry comprehensive insurance and hold a full local authority waste licence. Waste removal and thorough clean-up after each job are part of the service – I take pride in leaving every space better than I found it.

Whatever the task, I’m committed to doing the best I can for every customer, every time.

My main focus is always maintaining, this means I am happy to do the small jobs such as replacing just the fence post that is broken rather than the whole fence, or replacing the felt on the shed roof before it comes damaged.

I don’t cover every aspect of maintenance but I do have some contacts that I can pass on if it isn’t an area I cover.

You may also find that it is rare I have immediate availability, As I focus on proactive maintenance, my existing customers do tend to book me in advance.

Alongside our private customers the Grantham Handyman team also works for many local businesses including landlords and letting agents, schools and the local authority. As well as property redecoration and general maintenance and repairs, we can build furniture or put up a curtain pole or a mirror. We have created shelters and woodland trail areas for school playgrounds, installed sheds, summer houses and decking and designed many different types of raised beds to suit all kinds of gardener’s needs. We can replace one broken panel or redesign and replace a whole fence.

We will always try to help customers to repair and maintain where possible before suggesting renewal. In this way we can help you to create the look you want at a cost that is affordable. We make every effort to source materials for all the work that we do from business traders within Grantham to support our town.

The scope of works that the Grantham Handyman team can carry out is great and varied, if you are unsure of the type of trades person you need for a job then it is definitely worth giving me a call. On the rare occasions that I am unable to help, for example with more specialist plumbing or electrical jobs, I will certainly be able to recommend another local business that you can rely on.
